The Criée is the building where the fish was sold wholesale on the Old Port of Marseille. Its facade, historical monument, was built in the early 20th century.
Today, The Criée houses the National Theatre of Marseille, and has two rooms of 800 and 250 seats hosting shows throughout the year except during the summer.
The lobby is open to the public and well worth a visit for its architecture, furniture and decorative objects. Modest exposure is generally presented to the first floor where you can enjoy a nice view of the old port.
