The flea market allows you to feel immersed for a few hours into the world of markets and souks of the Maghreb without having to cross the Mediterranean.
And this is not a figure of style. Forget Provence, pastis and bouillabaisse, enter a new world and no doubt you will be greatly disoriented.
You can notice several different places. At the entrance: a clothing market, home accessories or telephony items. Inside the first building: craft shops and food market. In the back: the flea market and the furniture or household appliances shops.
The building on the right is an exception, it is devoted to antique furniture to retro decor and contemporary works of art. It is interesting to note that the flea market was previously entirely dominated by junk and antiques, but facing the disaffection of the customers, the shopkeepers have had to abandon or develop other activities.
The place is huge, and we can bet that at the end of your visit, your stomach will be heard complaining. We therefore advise you to return to the food market to choose one of its restaurants. For a few euros, it's a good way to extend your trip, getting to discover the culinary specialties of our African neighbours.
