Title in french : Massif de Marseilleveyre - face Ouest

Type : mountains

Mountains : Calanques

City : Marseille

The western face of the Marseilleveyre mountain is the most occidental part of the Calanques National Park. Just for few efforts you are offered an impressive view of Marseille, its bay, its islands.

Strictly speaking, the Marseilleveyre massif extends from west to east for about ten kms from the Goudes to Sugiton. For ordinary Marseille people, it is this summit at the doors of Marseille as well as a small creek after Callelongue with a bar restaurant.

The best way to have access to the place described in this item is to take the Grotte Roland avenue. Then follow the path that goes straight and climb up a few hundred metres. In only 10 minutes, you’ll reach the first terraces that will allow you to contemplate one of the most beautiful views in the world !!!

Depending on your motivation, you can follow the main footpath to the top, or go in search of Roland Cave, or just stay where you are for a well deserved nap.
