Title in french : Le tombant de La Vesse
Type : coastline
Mountains : Côte bleue
City : Le RoveThe La Vesse drop-off is a very attractive dive site, easily accessible from the coast and ideal for baptisms as for beginners, or simply for a snorkeling session.
It's a 10m drop-off, around emerged rocks full of faults. They do not exceed 30m in length and the game is usually to make the turn and to come back quietly along the coast.
The site is very rich in fish, especially species of rock but also schools of bream and saupes, small capons and morays in the rocks. Wildlife is not negligible (yellow gorgonians, parazoanthus, sea squirts, sponges encrusting ...) but less important that on other websites of the Côte bleue.
Snorkeking fans will be quite filled, especially the younger ones who can explore the coast, shallow depth, and observe very pretty colors.
The launch is officially banned in the harbor. Since the collapse of the cliff that prohibits access to the car park, even this part of the coast is marked as inaccessible. In practice it is not uncommon to see there some divers, swimmers and other sinners, even if attendance have been significantly lowered. It seems that this landslide is finally a good deal for the owners of cabins and residents of the creek. We can understand them, the site is so charming without any car!
